Stage 2 ECU Remap
For cars with upgraded hardware. A bespoke calibration written around your intake, exhaust, downpipe and intercooler, so every component works together and the car delivers its full potential.
- 30–50% gains, hardware dependent
- Consultation & diagnostics included
- Typically 3–4 hours
What is a Stage 2 remap?
A Stage 2 remap is an ECU calibration developed for a vehicle with supporting hardware. Once the engine can breathe and cool more effectively, boost pressure, fuelling and ignition timing can be raised further while keeping temperatures and component loads in check.
Typical Stage 2 hardware includes:
- A performance air intake
- A downpipe or sports exhaust
- An uprated intercooler
- On some cars, an uprated clutch, injectors or turbocharger
Stage 2 is not plug-and-play. It requires careful calibration around your specific combination of parts, which is exactly where we spend our time.
What you can expect.
Significant gains
Depending on the car and hardware, gains of 30–50% over standard are possible, with the strongest improvement in mid-range torque.
Calibrated to your parts
Your map is written for your exact hardware, never a generic Stage 2 file that assumes parts you may not have.
Safe operating limits
More power does not mean more risk. We calibrate within the tolerances of your engine, gearbox and clutch.
Before and after diagnostics
We inspect and log the car before and after tuning to confirm every system is operating as it should.
Built for the road
Smooth, usable delivery and long-term durability matter more to us than a headline number.
Supplied and fitted
We can source and fit the hardware too, as official partners of Akrapovič, Milltek, Scorpion and Cobra.
It starts with a consultation
A Stage 2 calibration is only as good as the preparation behind it. Before any work we check your modifications, scan the ECU, review the condition of the engine and agree what you want from the car. If something needs attention first, we will tell you.
Not sure which parts you need? We will recommend a hardware package that suits the car and how you drive it, and explain the cost against the benefit of each step.
Stage 2 with a new exhaust
A free-flowing performance exhaust reduces back pressure, and a Stage 2 calibration takes advantage of it for more power, torque and response. It is the most popular route for owners who want a car that feels and sounds transformed.
A considered process, from first call to handover.
- 01
Consultation
We talk through the car, how you use it and what you want from it, then recommend only what is worthwhile.
- 02
Health check
Diagnostics before any change, so we know the car is healthy and fit for the work.
- 03
Bespoke calibration
Software and parts matched to your specific vehicle, never a generic off-the-shelf solution.
- 04
Verification & handover
Post-work checks, then we walk you through what was done. Your original software is kept on file.
Trusted by owners who know their cars.
Great experience with tuning my 4.4 TDV8 L322. The car feels much more responsive and seems to be more economical. Given the extra power I may be driving like a hooligan, so will be difficult to confirm. Callum knows his onions and I would highly recommend.
I had my Audi A1 remapped by Callum recently and the difference is amazing. Better acceleration, more torque and now averaging almost 60mpg on a long run, 45–50mpg around town. Throttle and turbo response so much better.
Reached out to Callum on email to ask about some upgrades for my Audi S4, told him what I wanted and he recommended the right parts for the job. He even took the time to expand on what I could possibly do in the future if I needed it as well as the cost vs benefit comparison. I had my exhaust and air intake upgraded on this occasion. Callum fitted a cat-back Milltek system which gives the exact sound I was after. He even took the time to show me the stock pipes afterwards and explain where I’ll benefit from the new one vs the old.
Stage 2 ECU Remap: your questions answered.
What power gains can I expect?
Gains of 30–50% over standard are possible depending on the vehicle and hardware. We will estimate your figures during the consultation.
What modifications do I need for Stage 2?
Commonly a performance intake, downpipe or turbo-back exhaust and an uprated intercooler, with an uprated clutch on some manual cars. Ask us if you are unsure what your car needs.
Is Stage 2 safe for my engine?
When done professionally, yes. We calibrate within your engine’s mechanical tolerances and check its health before and after.
Will it affect fuel economy?
Driven steadily, many customers see little change. Under enthusiastic use, expect higher consumption.
Can it be reversed?
Yes. We always save your original ECU software.
Will it void my warranty?
It is likely to. Please check your warranty policy before proceeding.
How long does it take?
Plan for 3–4 hours depending on diagnostics and your setup. Hardware fitting is additional and we will confirm timings when you book.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes. 0% finance options are available on larger jobs. Ask us for details.
