Frequently asked questions.
Everything you need to know before booking. If your question isn’t answered here, call us or send a message. We are always happy to talk it through.
About Pro Tuning.
Do you offer “pop and bang” maps?
No. Crackle, burble and “pop and bang” maps are not road legal and are antisocial. Pro Tuning does not offer them, and enquiries for this service will not be taken forward.
How much does it cost?
Every vehicle is different, so there is no fixed price list. Cost depends on the make, model and engine and on any other work you require. Send us your vehicle details and we will come back with an exact price.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major debit and credit cards, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. A VAT invoice is emailed once the work is complete. Flexible and 0% finance options are also available.
Where is the work carried out?
All work is carried out at our workshop at Unit 3, Churchill Business Park, Provence Drive, Bournemouth BH11 9FA. Working in the workshop gives us proper diagnostics, lifts and a controlled environment for every job.
Are your remaps custom?
Yes. We are licensed WinOLS users and develop our calibrations in-house, working alongside some of the UK’s leading tuning specialists to keep standards high.
About remapping.
How long will my remap take?
Most remaps take 2–3 hours including pre-checks. Additional services such as gearbox tuning or hardware fitting will add time, and we will confirm this when you book.
Will a remap damage my engine?
No. Modern engines are engineered with considerable headroom beyond their standard output; manufacturers often sell the same engine in several states of tune. Our calibrations stay within safe mechanical limits. You must continue to service and maintain the engine as the manufacturer recommends.
Will a remap affect my warranty?
Any modification to a vehicle under manufacturer warranty may affect that warranty, and this applies to wheels, suspension, brakes and exhausts as well as software. Please check your warranty terms before booking.
What about my insurance?
You should inform your insurer of any modification made to your vehicle. Many insurers will cover a remapped car, sometimes at no extra cost.
Can a remap be reversed?
Yes. We save your original ECU software before any change and can restore it at any time.
Tell us about your car.
Share a few details and we’ll come back to you personally within one working day with our recommendations and an exact price. No obligation.
